Peterlee, SR8 · East Durham
Peterlee has two kinds of customer. Firms on the industrial estates sell to other firms. Shops, cafés and trades in the town sell to families. HS Tech Solution is a digital marketing agency for Peterlee businesses that need to be found by the right one. We build websites, set up Google Maps listings and run ads, with one owner you can ring.
Small websites start from £99. You talk to Hamza Shafiq, the owner, from the first call to launch.
What a Peterlee business owner sees

Same town, two markets
Peterlee was founded as a new town in 1948. Today its biggest employers sit on the North West and South West Industrial Estates, west of the A19. Homes, the town centre and Castle Dene Shopping Centre sit on the other side. That split still shapes who buys from you, and how they look for you.
Industrial estates
Who buys: buyers and site managers at places like Caterpillar and NSK. The same goes for firms moving into new units, such as the nine at Gemini Point.
What they check first: your website, your company details, photos of real work, and whether you answer the phone. A supplier check often happens before anyone rings.
What to fix: a clear site with your services, sectors, certificates and a direct number. A Google Business Profile with the right unit address, so delivery drivers and visitors find you on Pease Road or Cook Way the first time.
Town centre and estates
Who buys: people living in Acre Rigg, Eden Hill, Howletch and Sunny Blunts, plus visitors to Castle Eden Dene and the Apollo Pavilion.
What they check first: Google Maps, opening hours, reviews and a phone number they can tap. Many never open a website at all.
What to fix: a full Maps listing with photos and hours, a steady flow of reviews, and a fast page that works on a phone with one bar of signal.
Most firms only need to win one side. Some, like a joiner who fits out units and also does kitchens, need both. We work out which before you spend a penny.

Firms here need to look solid to bigger clients and drivers.
Out of 2,000 firms, 1,760 have fewer than 10 staff. Most have nobody whose job is marketing. That is who we built our service for.
Durham Coast Line
Horden station opened on 29 June 2020 on the Durham Coast Line, after a £10.55 million project. Trains announce it as “Horden Peterlee”. Network Rail expected around 70,000 journeys a year.
That means people from Sunderland, Hartlepool and Teesside can now reach the town without a car. If you serve a wider area, say so. Set your Google service area beyond SR8, name the towns you cover on your site, and put the station in your directions.

Town centre
Castle Dene Shopping Centre went to auction in February 2026 with a guide price of over £4 million. It holds most of the town centre, with names like Boots, B&M and Argos.
You cannot control any of that. You can control your own listing. If you trade in the centre, make sure Google shows your right entrance, parking and hours. If you move, update your address everywhere on the same day.

How the map works
Search for a marketing agency Peterlee firms can use, and Google’s map shows three firms from Hartlepool. None of them are in the town.
Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. Prominence means reviews, mentions and how well known a firm is. A small number of agencies near Peterlee have built up reviews, so Google reaches down the coast to fill the map. The Whitespark 2026 survey of local search experts found the same pattern: reviews keep growing in weight.
Straight answer
We should be straight with you too. We are not in Peterlee either. Hamza lives in Ushaw Moor, Durham. What we offer is a named owner, honest prices and work you can check. If you want one person to handle your website, Maps and ads together, talk to us.
If you also win work down the coast, see our Hartlepool page.

Who you talk to
When you ring HS Tech Solution, Hamza answers. He has built websites and run search for small firms for almost five years, across more than 800 projects.
In reviews of local web firms, owners say the same things again and again: they want someone who listens, explains in plain words and never treats a question as daft. Hamza runs every project that way.

FAQ
It helps customers find you online and then get in touch. For a small Peterlee firm, that usually means a website, a Google Maps listing, reviews and sometimes ads. A good agency tracks the calls and enquiries this brings, so you can see what your money is doing each month.
Google’s own AI summary currently puts UK agency rates at about £75 to £200 an hour. Most agencies turn that into a monthly fee instead. Our SEO starts from £399 a month with VAT included, and a one page website starts from £99. You get the price in writing before any work starts.
It can be, if it brings in work you could not get by word of mouth alone. It is not worth it if nobody tracks the results. Start small: a correct Maps listing and a simple site often pay for themselves. Then add more only when the calls prove it works.
No, but it changes where people see you. Google now shows AI answers above many results, and Google says these answers draw on the same pages it already ranks. So the basics still matter: a clear website, an accurate Maps listing and real reviews. AI tools also read those to decide who to name.
A profile alone can work for a trade with plenty of reviews. A website helps when people want to see past jobs, prices or details before they ring. Firms selling to other businesses on the estates nearly always need one, because buyers check it before they call. We will tell you honestly which fits.
For a small business site in the UK, quotes range from a few hundred pounds to several thousand. Price depends on pages, features and who writes the words. Ours starts at £99 for one page, with bigger sites quoted on what you need. You buy the domain and hosting in your own name, so the site stays yours.
Some. The SWEF Business Grant, listed by the North East Growth Hub, offers up to £500 for start ups and up to £2,000 for trading firms run by 18 to 30 year olds in County Durham. The old Digital Drive County Durham scheme has closed, so ignore anyone still quoting it. Business Durham can point you to anything new.
A corrected Maps listing can bring calls within weeks. A new website usually needs a few months before Google trusts it. SEO normally takes three to six months to show steady gains, depending on your trade and competition. We send regular updates so you can see progress, not just hear about it.
Most meetings happen in Durham, or by video or phone, which suits busy owners best. Hamza lives in Ushaw Moor, so Durham is the easiest place to sit down together. Everything else, from the first plan to launch day, can be done from your shop, unit or kitchen table.
Before you pay anyone
Before you pay any digital marketing agency in Peterlee, find out what is actually holding you back. Send us your business name and trade. Hamza will check your Google listing, your website and how you show up for local searches, then tell you in plain words what to fix first. No hard sell.
