Cost
Google’s own AI Overview puts UK SEO at £500 to £5,000 or more a month. It says most small and medium firms pay between £1,000 and £3,000.
We checked the Newcastle agencies on page one of Google in September 2026. Most do not show a price at all. Of those that do, the lowest was £300 a month plus VAT, which is £360 once VAT is added. Others started at £950 and £1,500 a month.
Monthly price, VAT included
Our £399 includes VAT, so the figure on the invoice is the figure on this page. For SEO Newcastle firms can plan around, that matters more than a low headline number with VAT added later.
The price can rise in a crowded market. A solicitor near the courts faces more rivals than a dog groomer in Heaton. If your field needs more work, we tell you the real cost before you sign.
Your monthly plan
Plenty of owners have signed up with an agency and then heard nothing. We keep it simple. Every month you get a written list of the tasks we did. Our SEO services Newcastle clients receive follow the same order of work, because each step depends on the one before.
| Month | What we do | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Month 1: Audit | We check how Google reads your site. We look for pages it cannot find, slow pages, broken links and missing titles. Then we fix the worst problems first. | A plain audit list, sorted by what matters most |
| Month 2: On page | We rewrite page titles and headings around what your customers type. We make each service page answer one clear question. | A before and after list of every page we changed |
| Month 3: Content and off page | We add or improve pages your customers need. We then earn mentions and links from real local and trade sites. | New pages live, plus a list of every link we gained |
| Month 4 onwards | We track what moved, repeat what worked and fix what did not. | A monthly task list, plus regular updates from Hamza |
As an SEO agency Newcastle owners can hold to account, we write down the work. If a task did not happen, you will see that too.
The audit is part of your first paid month, not a free teaser. That way it gets the time it needs, and every fix it finds is done by us in the same month.
Newcastle businesses
The Nomis figures show which firms fill the city. Each group gets found in a different way, so each needs different work.
Accountants, lawyers and consultants, many around Newcastle Helix and the offices off Grey Street. Their clients compare several firms before they call. Clear service pages, real names and proof of skill win here.
Cafes, bars and hotels along the Quayside and through the city centre. People search on their phones, often late, asking where to eat nearby. Opening hours, menus and fast pages decide who gets the booking.
Roofers, builders and joiners who cover the whole of Tyneside. Customers search for a job and a town, like “roofer Gosforth”. One strong page for each service and area beats one thin page that lists every place.
Shops that sell in store and online. Product pages need their own words, not text copied from the maker. Stock, prices and delivery details help both Google and the buyer.
Gyms, salons, venues and event firms. Their customers want a date, a price and a way to book. Pages that answer those three things get clicks.
AI search
No. AI tools still pull their answers from web pages. Google says its AI features draw on the same pages its normal search shows, and the same basics apply (Google Search Central). A page that is clear, correct and easy to read has a better chance of being quoted.
We include AI search checks in the monthly plan at no extra charge. Some agencies now charge more for this. We think it is part of doing SEO properly in 2026.
Free check
If you never appear, the fix usually starts with your own pages, not with a new tool.
Timeline
Most sites need three to six months to see clear results. In busy fields it can take six to twelve months (Search Engine Land, 2026).
Fixes and changes go live. Rankings barely move yet.
Google has read the changes. Smaller search terms start to climb.
More pages reach page one or two. Visits begin to rise.
Gains build on each other. Harder terms start to move.
This is why we ask for three months at the start. Anyone who promises page one in a fortnight is guessing.

Proof
We will be honest with you. Most of our past clients are in Australia, not Newcastle. Here is one, straight from Google Search Console.
Search Console data, checked September 2026
We have built and optimised sites since 2022, across more than 200 projects. We would rather show you real numbers, good and slow, than quote a claim you cannot check.
Before you spend
If your budget is tight, look at free support before you pay anyone. The North East Growth Hub lists programmes such as Digital Pathfinders and the North of Tyne Digital Skills Programme, which offers free training for firms in Newcastle. Check each scheme’s page for dates, as some open and close through the year. When you are ready for someone to do the work, we are here.
Areas we cover: Newcastle city centre and the Helix, Jesmond, Gosforth, Heaton, Byker, Fenham, Gateshead, North Tyneside and the rest of the SEO north east patch, from Tynemouth down to Durham.
FAQ
Yes, for most firms that rely on people searching. Search visits keep coming after the work is done, unlike ads that stop when you stop paying. It is less useful if you need sales this week, or if nobody searches for what you sell yet. In that case, ads may suit you first.
You can do a lot yourself. Write clear page titles, answer customer questions on your pages and keep your details the same everywhere. Google’s free SEO Starter Guide is a canny place to begin. Paying someone makes sense once your time is worth more than the fee, or the problems are technical.
It means a small share of the work brings most of the results. For a small firm, that is usually fixing technical errors, getting your main service pages right and earning a few good links. We start there, which is why the audit comes first.
Look at Google Search Console, which is free. Check whether clicks and search appearances are rising month by month. Then check enquiries, as rankings alone do not pay bills. Our monthly task list shows what we changed, so you can match the work to the results.
Google takes time to read and trust changes. Most of month one is fixing, and results usually show from month three onwards. Stopping sooner means paying for fixes without seeing what they do. In crowded fields we may suggest longer, and we say so before you sign.
Yes. Hamza Shafiq, our UK partner, meets clients in Newcastle, or by phone or video if you prefer. You deal with the same person each month, so you never have to explain your business twice.
Ask four things. What is the full monthly price with VAT? What will you do each month, in writing? Who will I speak to? Can I see a result I can check? Any SEO company Newcastle firms trust should answer all four without fuss.
This plan covers your website and how it ranks in normal search and AI answers. Google Maps and your Business Profile are a separate job, called local SEO. We can do both, and we will tell you which one your business needs first.
Tell us your website and what you sell. Hamza will reply with what needs fixing first and what SEO Newcastle work would cost for your field. Plans start at £399 a month, VAT included.
