Should you build on Wix at all?
We build on WordPress most of the time, so we have no reason to oversell Wix. Here is the straight answer, and if it points away from Wix we will tell you before you have spent anything.

The honest bit about leaving Wix
This is the part most agencies skip. A Wix site cannot be exported and moved to another host. If you outgrow it, the site is rebuilt from scratch somewhere else. Your domain, your content and your images are yours, but the pages themselves stay behind.
That is not a reason to avoid Wix. It is a reason to go in knowing it. If you expect to stay small and self managed, the trade is fine. If you think you will need custom features in two years, WordPress costs less over time because you never pay to rebuild. We will give you our honest read on which one you are, and we are happy to say Wix when Wix is right.
Always yours, whatever we build
Your domain name stays registered to you. We never hold it hostage, and we never charge a release fee. If you part ways with us, you keep the keys. That applies to every platform we touch.

Common questions about Wix website design
The build is quoted as a fixed price once we know the page count and whether copy and images are supplied or created. Separately you pay Wix directly for their plan, which covers hosting and the platform. We do not mark that up or take a cut of it.
Yes, and that is usually the whole point of choosing Wix. We hand over the account, walk you through editing pages, and leave written notes. You do not need us for text and image changes.
We can rebuild it on WordPress, but be clear that it is a rebuild rather than a transfer. Wix does not let sites be exported. Content and images carry across, the pages themselves are built again. See WordPress development for how that works.
Not inherently. Wix has improved a lot and a well set up Wix site can rank for local searches. The ceiling is lower than WordPress for technical work on large sites, but for a local business competing in one town, the content and your Google Business Profile matter far more than the platform. Our SEO service works on Wix sites too.
Yes, always. Your domain is registered to you and stays that way. We never hold a domain as leverage and there is no release fee if you go elsewhere.
For a small catalogue, yes. Once you are into hundreds of products, variants and detailed stock control, you will be better served by Shopify or WooCommerce. We will tell you honestly which side of that line you fall on.
Most brochure sites run to a few weeks from brief to launch, and the slow part is usually waiting on copy and photographs rather than the build. You get a date in writing with the quote.
Yes. We would rather lose the job than build you something you outgrow in a year. If your requirements point to WordPress, we will say so at the quote stage, with the reasons.

What every price includes
Custom design rather than a stock template, mobile and tablet layouts, a working contact form, Google Maps, basic on page SEO, an SSL certificate and speed tuning. You own the domain, the hosting login and the site itself.
Priced separately
Written content, licensed photography, hosting and domain renewals, online shops, booking systems and any pages beyond the number agreed. We tell you the cost of these before work starts, never after.
Looking after the site afterwards starts at £25 a month. Updates, backups, monitoring and security, billed monthly with no minimum term.
